Ariele Jacobson

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have the privilege of helping clients with a wide range of issues, including mood disorders, panic disorders, trauma, grief, shame, self-esteem, and more. Specifically, I am passionate about helping people with issues of sexuality, sexual dysfunction, sexual trauma, and gender issues. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ communities. I work with heterosexual and cisgender clients as well. I see individuals, couples, families, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

I offer an integrative approach to therapy consisting of the psychodynamic approach, attachment theory, family systems, CBT, narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and more. The specific approach I use will depend on the unique needs of the client. I do not strictly adhere to one approach to therapy for every client; unique people have unique needs.

Many people experience shame surrounding the issues they face in their day to day lives. This shame can make it difficult to open up, tell one's story, and feel heard. I provide an empathetic, non-judgmental presence and create a safe space for clients to share their stories and ease their shame. In our therapeutic journey together, I will provide you with the space to process your emotions and experiences, I will help you work through your problems, I will listen attentively, and I will help you work towards the goals that you set. Every person is worthy of empathy, caring, and support.
