We often believe that we are alone in our suffering, that no one has experienced or could understand what we are going through, or conversely, that the suffering of others is much greater than our own, and that ours does not deserve attention. Fear of judgment, vulnerability, and the unknown can keep us from reaching out when we need it most. That is why I believe there is power in creating space to explore the obstacles that hinder us from thriving. Whether you are making sense of your past, navigating issues in the present, or planning for your future, it would be my privilege to walk alongside you on your journey of exploration and healing.
I work with individuals, couples, and families using an integrative therapeutic approach, meaning I am flexible in my work and draw from different models depending on your specific needs. I am a trauma-informed, client-centred, and attachment and compassion focused practitioner who uses Emotionally Focused Therapy and draws from other models such as Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, and more.
I have experience working with issues such as, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, neglect, anger, loss, relationship distress, family dynamics, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, identity, work-related stress and burnout, and life transitions.
Our sessions will be an opportunity to slow down and begin to untangle thoughts, emotions, behavioural patterns, and ways of relating to self and others. Whether you are coming in with set goals or are not quite sure where to begin, I am committed to providing a warm and open environment for you to explore, process, and grow.
