Seeking help is not always easy, and taking the first step is often the hardest. But qualified help can make your path far less lonely, and an effective practitioner’s insights will accelerate your progress. It is a safe space to explore, breathe, heal, and rebuild. I am always humbled to share an individual’s journey.
As a therapist, I create a space of empathy and acceptance, free of judgement. I work specifically from a trauma-informed person-centered approach, in that I view each individual as the expert in their life, and we work together to find those tools and skills that work best for them. A few of the therapeutic approaches that I bring in are Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Somatic approach, Poly Vagal Theory, Mindfulness, etc. Clients have described my therapeutic style as collaborative, empathetic, genuine and caring to establish a foundation of safety and trust.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are facing the multifaceted aspects of Complex Trauma and Complex-PTSD. That being said, I work with a variety of presenting concerns as well, including anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, low self-esteem, burnout, stress and life transitions.
I am also a trained Yoga Therapist and have been working in the field for 10 years, along with completing my Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapy through TCTSY (Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapy).
The goal that I hold within the collaborative process is to work with the individual to find those skills and tools that work and fit best for them, to foster resiliency, create a sense of well-being and ease within an environment of safety and trust. I look forward to working with you.
