What is our mission?

CTSACT is dedicated to delivering accessible and affordable trauma-focused therapy to those in need. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal from trauma and that mental health support should be within reach for all. Our approach includes: Accessibility: Removing barriers to access through community outreach and partnerships. Affordability: Offering sliding scale fees and financial assistance to ensure therapy is affordable. Trauma-Informed Care: Utilizing evidence-based practices that focus on the unique needs of individuals who have experienced trauma. Community Engagement: Involving community members in program development and feedback to enhance effectiveness. Through these efforts, CTSACT aims to create a supportive environment where healing and personal growth can flourish.

Who do we serve?

We serve all populations, providing a wide range of therapeutic options to meet diverse needs: - Children - Youth - Adults - Couples Our services are designed to be accessible to individuals from all socioeconomic statuses, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive support and care.

What programs do we offer?

We offer individual, couples, and group therapy. Individual Therapy Individual therapy involves one-on-one sessions between a therapist and a client. This type of therapy focuses on personal issues, emotional challenges, and mental health concerns, allowing for a tailored approach to treatment. Couples Therapy Couples therapy is designed to help partners improve their relationship and resolve conflicts. It provides a safe space for couples to communicate openly and work through issues with the guidance of a trained therapist. Group Therapy We have designed a 14 week trauma processing group therapy program to support challenges commonly experienced by those recovering from a traumatic experience.

Are we a registered not for profit charity?

Yes - we are a registered charitable organization that operates with the support of one administrator and multiple volunteers.

How will be donation be used?

Donations are utilized in various impactful ways, including: Supporting Low Fee Therapy Services: Donations help offset the cost of therapy sessions, making mental health support more accessible. Covering Administrative Expenses: Contributions assist in covering essential admin fees, such as paper and printer ink. Funding Group Processing Groups: Donations enable the organization and facilitation of group processing sessions for community support. And Much More: Additional funds can be allocated to various programs and services that benefit our community.

Do you offer sliding scale services?

What is trauma-informed care? Trauma-informed care recognizes that many people have experienced trauma and works to create safe, respectful services that avoid re-triggering harm. What is trauma-focused care? Trauma-focused care actively helps people heal from trauma using intentional, evidence-based approaches designed for recovery. What’s the difference? Trauma-informed care understands trauma. Trauma-focused care treats trauma. Why are our services trauma-focused? Because awareness alone isn’t enough. We provide structured support that helps people process trauma, build skills, and move toward long-term healing.
